New in Budapest, or been here for years but still meeting the same people? 🌍

Join an evening where everyone is welcome, wherever you’re from, and English is our common language. We all come with one goal: to meet new people in real life. 💜
And it’s not luck that decides who you sit with. 🎲

✨ How does it work?

1️⃣ Create your profile. 📝
After buying your ticket, you fill in your Just Connect profile. This is what we use to put your groups together.

2️⃣ 4 rounds, up to 12 new faces. 🔄
Every 25 minutes you join a new mixed group of 4. The groups are put together by our own algorithm based on your profile: it looks at what you’re looking for, what matters to you and what you have in common, and it works both ways, so it’s not just about who suits you, but also who you suit. Icebreaker questions (in English, of course) get the conversation going, so no awkward silences.

3️⃣ VibeMatch: mark who you’d like to see again. 💫
After the rounds, you can secretly mark the people you clicked with. Nobody finds out who you picked, unless they picked you too. Then it’s a match.

4️⃣ Live Profile Match: who else did the evening bring you? 👀
You get personal match suggestions from everyone at the event, based on your profiles and your mutual age and height preferences. It might be someone you haven’t even shared a table with.

💡 Why is it different?

❌ No language barrier. Everything is in English, from the hosting to the icebreaker questions.
❌ No expat bubble. You meet both internationals and locals in one evening.
❌ No walking up to strangers. From the first round, you’re always part of a small group.
❌ No breaking the ice on your own. The questions and your shared interests do the work.
❌ No judging someone in 5 minutes. 25 minutes is enough to get past the “so, what do you do?” part.
❌ Nobody sees in advance who’s coming. At the table only your first name and your shared interests are visible.

🕒 The evening

🙋 This is for you if…
✔️ you’re new-ish in Budapest and want to meet people outside work and your usual circle,
✔️ you’d like to meet both internationals and locals, not just other expats,
✔️ you want to meet people in person, but classic speed dating isn’t your thing,
✔️ you’d rather meet people in real life than on an app,
✔️ you’re not the type to just walk up to a stranger,
✔️ you prefer small groups where you can actually have a conversation,
✔️ you don’t want to leave it all to chance, but you’re not expecting an algorithm to find you “the one” either.

❓ FAQ

👉 Is the whole event in English?
Yes. The hosting, the icebreaker questions and all communication are in English. You don’t need to speak a word of Hungarian.

👉 Who can join?
Anyone aged 25–40 who’s comfortable chatting in English: internationals living in Budapest and locals alike. You don’t need to be a native speaker. English is simply the language we all share for the evening.

👉 How do you put the groups together?
Our own algorithm builds them from almost 20 data points in your profile, including age, what you’re looking for and shared interests. The goal is to sit you with people you can easily start a conversation with.

👉 What about the gender balance?
Tickets are sold separately for men and women, so the ratio stays balanced.

👉 Who can see my data?
Nobody sees in advance who’s coming. At the table only your first name or nickname and your shared interests are visible. Your contact details are only shared after a mutual match, and only if you approve.

👉 Do I need to fill in a profile in advance?
Yes, if you don’t have one yet: this is how we put your groups together. You can fill it in any time before check-in: http://justconnect.hu/register

👉 What if I can’t make it?
Tickets are non-refundable, but you can pass yours on or resell it on TicketSwap or Cooltix Swap.
