This autumn, we’re bringing something truly special: on Sunday, October 12, join us for a full-day outdoor tea festival in Szentendre! It’s more than just drinking tea – it’s an experience filled with hiking, tastings, Japanese gardens, and guerrilla tea sessions scattered across the town.
Why You Should Join?
☕ Tea bases & tastings – explore unique tea stations across Szentendre, offering intimate tea sessions in small groups. 🌿 Japanese Garden & Czóbel Park – tranquil spaces to immerse yourself in the art of tea. 🏞 Tea hiking on October 11 – the day before the festival, we’ll embark on a scenic hike around Szentendre’s hills, brewing tea along the way. 🎭 Free cultural programs – tai chi & tea, Japanese dance performances, ceramic workshops, and more.
Important: Get a Festival Cup!
The festival itself is free to visit, but to participate in tea tastings, you’ll need a festival cup (4000 HUF - roughly 10 EUR), which includes: ✅ entry to the Japanese Garden ✅ tea tastings at vendor stands and tea bases ✅ supporting the festival’s organization
Bonus: October 11 Pre-Festival Events in Budapest!
🏡 Tea studio tastings – some of Budapest’s best tea houses will hold exclusive tastings (registration & separate ticket required). 🌙 Psychedelic Tea Party – at night, expect a gross amount of shu pu-erh, deep conversations, and possibly some tea-induced visions.
What to Bring?
✔ Warm clothes – it’s an autumn outdoor event, expect crisp air and golden leaves. ✔ Curiosity – whether you’re new to tea or a seasoned drinker, you’ll find something to enjoy. ✔ Time – slow down, sip, and enjoy the moment.
Join us for a weekend of tea, nature, and community – this is a festival for tea lovers, by tea lovers!
