Dear Erasmus & international students from all universities, Erasmus Life Budapest, Stipendium Life Budapest, and the Buda Castle's institutions invite you to a WELCOME DAY in the most beautiful venue of Budapest: the Lion's Courtyard, located at the UNESCO world heritage site Buda Castle’s historical royal palace. 🏰 An orientation day filled with culture, making friends, a useful & informative presentation, and dance until the night, for the warmest welcome for all international students arriving to Budapest, before the 2024/2025 school year begins 💙

📍 HOW TO GET THERE? 1) Take bus 16 or 216 until Dísz tér, and walk straight to the Lion Courtyard, or 2) Walk up from Clark Ádám tér to the Lion Courtyard

► DETAILS 🎨 Hungarian National Gallery - showcasing the artworks of the most famous Hungarian painters, inside the beautiful Royal Palace building, with access to an exclusive terrace overlooking the city, giving a breathtaking view.

📚 National Széchényi Library - Guided Tour. During the walk, you can learn about the fascinating history of the building, and discover parts of it that still preserve a small piece of the original royal palace.

🏛️ Budapest History Museum - The official museum of Budapest showcases the region’s cultural & historical heritage of several millennia. During the tour, you can get a sneak peek of the Castle Museum, focusing on the Buda castle’s history.

❓ Budapest Quiz - Fun trivia game about your new city, with valuable prizes. You will be assigned in teams, and you can answer interesting questions together.

💬 Speed Friending - If you arrived in Budapest recently and you don't know many people yet, this is the best way to get to know the most fellow internationals in the shortest time possible! We will help with fun topics to break the ice.

🎶 Sunset Party - We will sip our drinks by enjoying the golden & blue hours' view at 2 breathtaking locations: inside the open-air Lion Courtyard, looking at the arguably most beautiful building of Budapest; and Savoyai Terasz, giving us probably the best view of the city, above the roofs of the castle hill. The DJs by EDR will play feelgood house, hardhouse, trance, electro & disco sets for a groovy sunset dance.
